Description

1) MLS TRIESTE secured to side of LCMA underway to stern of USS PRESERVER (ARS-8) in fg in Boston Harbor. VG2) MS LCMA with TRIESTE approaching the stern of USS PRESERVER. G3) HA MS Stern of USS PRESERVER; tow line being made fast to TRIESTE in mid bg (SV). VG4) CU Marine sentry on guard in front of inquiry room. G5) CU As before with marine at salute and coming down from salute. VG6) ECU Side number "RS-8" on starboard bow of USS PRESERVER. VG7) MS USS PRESERVER tied up to floats in Boston Naval Shipyard South Annex. VG8) MLS Dock crane hoisting equipment aboard USS PRESERVER (SV); this equipment is drums of shot which will be used aboard TRIESTE for test dive.9) HA MCU Drums lowered into hold of USS PRESERVER. G10) LA MS Up towards the crane operator. G11) MS Over deck of USS PRESERVER showing men working over open hatch during the loading. VG26) MS TRIESTE commencing its test dive, approximately 60 miles outside of Boston; small boat stands by a safety line secured to conning tower of TRIESTE.
