SECNAV NITZE VISITS FIRST FLEET Part 1

Description

1) CU Lookout scanning horizon with binoculars, wind blowing through his hair; coastline of an island in bg (SV). G2) CU Shoulder patch worn by the PO-2 aboard USS BENNER (DD-807). VG3) CU Telephone talker standing on deck of USS BENNER, talking into microphone (SV). VG4) MCU Man standing on deck, holding a flag up high with his right hand, lowering the green flag and raising the red flag. G-F5) MS Out over fantail of USS BENNER, wide wake boiling up in bg; sky is slightly pink in bg. G6) LS Out over water which is splashed with yellowish light; hazy coastline in bg. F7) MS Out over side of USS BENNER, ship"s lifeboats in davits in bg; PAN on down to the life nets extended out from helicopter deck. G8) MS PAN Stern of USS BENNER, wake in bg. G9) LS Out over the sea, hazy coastline in far bg. F10) LA MS Seagull keeping up with the ship. F11) MS Crewmen rolling out a torpedo on a dolly toward the "DASH" helicopter on helicopter deck of USS BENNER; PAN with the man wheeling the torpedo around to the rear and underneath the "DASH"; other crewmen gather around to assist in loading the torpedo onto the "DASH". G12) CU Men securing the torpedo under the "DASH" helicopter (SV). G13) CU Two men in dungarees and helmets, working on securing of torpedo to "DASH" helicopter. VG14) CU One man kneeling down near the stern end of the torpedo, checking the torpedo, giving thumbs-up. G15) CU Man working with tie-down on the "DASH" helicopter. G16) CU Torpedo secured under the "DASH" helicopter.17) HA MS "DASH", rotors engaged, lone man stooped down behind the helicopter. G18) HA MS "DASH" taking off from the ship with lone torpedo; PAN with the helicopter gaining altitude. G19) LS "DASH" helicopter in flight over the water, torpedo released and striking the water. F20) CU "DASH" returning back to the ship after making the torpodo drop; PAN with the "DASH" settling down on deck. G21) MS "DASH" on deck; two men moving in to sides of the helicopter to secure it.22) MS Lone man off to port side of "DASH" helicopter. G23) MLS DD underway, in silhouette. G24) CU Ground crew checking out "DASH"; torpede in place on the helicopter (SV).25) MS Ground contrel officer for "DASH" at the contrels; man in fg giving rev-up signal. G26) MS "DASH" turning up on deck of USS BENNER.27) CU One of the crewmen scooting away from "DASH". G28) MS "DASH" taking off; PAN up with the helicopter rising quickly up into the air with one torpedo, then out over the water. G29) ELS "DASH" dropping the torpede; torpedo striking the water. F-P30) LA MS "DASH" returning to the ship after making torpedo drop. G-F31) LA MS PAN "DASH" hevering over the helicopter deck and then settling down. G
