AIR STRIKE, SOUTH VIET NAM Part 4

Description

1) AtoG MS Bank to left over strike area along Mekong Delta River, white smoke is rising from area in mid BG; PAN forward over small wooded area; PAN down, smoke rising from area in FG along side of river; two A-4Cs flying very low come into scene from bottom, fly over Mekong River toward smoke, continue in flight toward BG; cluster bombs begins exploding throughout entire area; camera aircraft pulls up. VG2) AtoG LS Pilot"s Eye View, stern of USS ENTERPRISE (CVAN-65), run being made on stern of ship by camera aircraft, RA-5C, approach is continued, A-4C type aircraft seen coming in for landing on deck of ship, pull up over ship by camera aircraft. F3) AtoG MLS Bank to left over strike area, Mekong Delta River, very wooded; camera aircraft straightens out, strafing run is made by camera aircraft. G4) AtoG MLS PAN over strike area, A-4C flies into scene from right, moving ahead and banking sharply over bend in river and over wooded area, camera aircraft moves in for a run, fires rocket, pulls up, rockets explode on ground exactly on pull out; camera aircraft pulls up following strike aircraft and losing strike aircraft. G5) AtoG MS Down over unidentified river and wooded area surrounding river; PAN over densely wooded area, objects similar to tracers heading toward wooded area; pull up by camera aircraft. G to F6) AtoG MS Bank to left, straighten out by camera aircraft over what appears to be the Mekong River; PAN to left side of river over wooded area, more Cluster Bombs are dropped on wooded area below and hits are seen which are followed by small explosions; pull up by camera aircaft. G7) AtoA MS A-4C aircraft in flight, racks empty. F8) AtoG LS Bank to left over strike area, camera aircraft straightens out, flat open terrain is seen below; F-4B comes into scene from left firing salvo of rockets, which strike ground in mid part of scene; PAN over strike zone by camera aircraft. G to F9) AtoG MLS Bank to left by camera aircraft over strike zone, camera aircraft straightens out; F-4B far ahead and flying low, shadow of second aircraft; smoke rises from area in mid part of scene. G to F10) AtoG MCU Down over strike area, pock holes from hits, flat terrain being flown over.11) AtoG MLS Bank to left by camera aircraft over strike area; F-4B flies in right upper BG over smoke rising from ground; PAN upward, F-4B in flight far ahead of camera aircraft over flat terrain; no ordnance on this run. G12) AtoG MLS Bank to left, F-4B coming into scene from left flying directly ahead of camera aircraft, moving in on strike, small contrails coming from wing tips of F-4B, plane is about 1000 feet over strike area, very flat, very little foliage; camera aircraft banks with F-4B. G13) Ato G MS Out over river showing A-4C flying ahead of camera aircraft, firing it"s guns on strafing run over edge of Mekong River; pull up with strike aircraft. G14) AtoA MS A-4C flying fast and ahead of camera aircraft, strafing river bank area of Mekong Delta River. G
