Description

1) HA LS VR-21 line at Cubi Point with an unidt. aircraft landing; carrier is tied up in the distant BG (SV). VG2) MLS Maintenance man working on the tail of a C-1A COD; several of the C-1A"s are lined up, one in the left FG, others in BG (SV). G to F3) MCU Rear view of a maintenance man on a work stand working on the tail area of the C-1A (SV). VG4) MLS C-1A"s parked in the area, with two men on workstand.5) LA CU Men working on the folded wing area (SV). VG6) MCU Man on a small ladder working on the side of the starb"d engine of a C-1A; man steps down and moves away with the ladder.7) CU Mechanic giving rev-up signal as the starb"d engine is turned up on the C-1A. VG8) CU C-1A, with port engine turning over slowly, then up to full speed; both engines are now running. VG9) LA MS AD in the cockpit during checkup of the aircraft.10) CU AD in cockpit with phones sitting in pilot"s seat as they check out the engine. VG11) MLS C-1A"s on the line, one in mid BG with engines turning up during the checkout.12) MS Terminal, showing the open door in BG, with a C-1A parked in BG on this night scene; tractor tows a trailer loaded with mail and cargo into scene, moving down thru the doorway en route to the C-1A. F13) CU C-1A on the line, tractor backing up to the side of aicraft.14) CU Tractor with mail and cargo parked next to aircraft; driver walks around and chats with one of the crewmen of aircraft; this is a night scene. G15) MCU Cargo and mail being loaded aboard the C-1A. G16) HA ELS PAN C-1A taking off from the runway at NAS Cubi Point; carrier is anchored out in harbor in BG; C-1A lifts off and is in flight heading towards the mountains in BG; another C-1A is taxiing forward in right lower FG; PAN, with the C-1A en route back to the terminal. VG17) HA MCU PAN C-1A taxiing.18) HA MLS C-1A taxiing out to the runway; several ships are anchored in BG; PAN with the C-1A taxiing for take off; plane finally lifts off in far BG; high mountains are in far BG covered with haze. Ex.19) HA MS PAN A-1E coming in for an arrested landing aboard the USS INTREPID (CVS-11); plane rolls to a stop folding its wings; PAN away from aircraft. G to F20) HA MS A-1E being catapulted; PAN, showing the plane leaving the deck. G21) HA CU A-1E on *1 cat; rev-up is being given by the cat officer, launch signal is given, plane is launched; cat crew moves in over the catapult.22) HA MS PAN A-1E being launched from *2 catapult; *1 is loaded with an A-1E ready for launch.
