Description

1) CU Flight deck Sideboys in ranks at the salute, coming down from the salute; C-1A lands in BG; PAN with the C-1A coming to a stop. VG 2) MCU C-1A taxiing. G 3) CU C-1A taxiing to parking area. 4) MCU Officer, one of the welcoming committee, walking over flight deck. 5) CU Welcoming committee greeting VADM WILLIAM MARTIN, COMSIXFLT, as he arrives aboard the USS INTREPID (CVS-11); PAN with VADM MARTIN walking thru the rank of Sideboys and directly into the island (unsteady). F 6) CU Sideboys stationed at the opening to the island structure, two unidt. officers leave island, pass thru the rank of Sideboys. 7) MCU Sideboys, as another aid moves thru the rank of Sideboys. G 8) MS VADM MARTIN leaving the island, passes thru the rank of Sideboys, greeting an officer in FG; PAN with VADM MARTIN and unidt. officer walking to the C-1A. G 9) CU VADM MARTIN donning a Mae West life jacket and boarding the aircraft. 10) MLS 'Copter on forward part of flight deck, rotors engaged; 'copter is a UH-2A. G to F 11) MLS UH-2A, rotors engaged, ready for lift off, to move out on station for flight ops.; 'copter lifts off. G 12) HA MLS 'Copter flying off bow, folding its landing gear. G 13) CU Two green shirts, one with phones. G to F 14) MCU A-4C type aircraft on #1 cat, hose from ApU attached to aircraft for starting. G to F 15) LA MS Pilot in cockpit of aircraft, canopy open. G 16) MS Brown shirt giving a rev up signal to the pilot, canopy is closed. 17) CU Cockpit area of A-4C. G 18) CU Yellow shirt backing down an A-4C on the cat; blue shirt has a tow bar still attached to the nosewheel. G 19) CU Man waving his arm, the A-4C moves onto the cat. 20) CU Cat officer giving rev up signal and launch signal; the A-4C leaves scene to left on launch. G 21) MLS Cat crew readying the cat for next A-4C. 22) CU Cat officer giving rev up signal for launch; A-4C is launched from #2 cat. 23) MS A-4C moving onto #2 cat. G 24) MLS A-4C catted from #1 cat, man drags some bridles down the deck in left FG. G 25) CU Cat officer giving rev up signal, drops his arm; A-4C roars down #1 cat. G 26) MCU A-4C moved onto #1 cat, man drags some bridles down the deck in left FG. G 27) MS Blue shirt using a guide bar on nosewheel of aircraft, as it is guided onto cat. 28) LA MS Pilot in cockpit ready for launch; plane is launched, leaves scene. G 29) CU A-4C on #2 cat, with some men around aircraft. 30) CU A-4C on #1 cat, green shirts around the cat. 31) CU Aircraft leaving scene (short scene). 32) MS A-4C coming in for landing abd. ship; PAN, with A-4C making an arrested landing, rolling to a stop; arresting wire falls from tail hook, plane begins taxiing to right. 33) MS A- 4C taxiing forward after landing; two yellow shirts and blue shirt in FG.
