Description

1) HA MS Rear view, diver in a wet suit in water inspecting torpedo damage to hull of USS LIBERTY (AGTR-5). VG 2) HA MCU Diver, DANIEL McDUFFIE of Virginia Beach, Va., inspecting damage of hull. VG 3) HA ECU Diver looking over the damage caused by the torpedo (SV). VG 4) CU Gapping hole caused by the torpedo in hull, diver seen off to left; McDUFFIE swims on his back out of scene. VG 5) MS McDUFFIE coming up to stern of a small boat and climbing aboard. 6) LA MS Extensive damage done to bridge of LIBERTY; two men are walking over the deck. VG 11) MS Watch on deck of LIBERTY, two men carry a coffin aboard the LIBERTY, on past the Chief and watch; zoom back, showing another coffin being carried, as the third group carries another coffin. VG 12) CU Looking past the stern of an unidentified ship, as the LIBERTY is towed stern first in mid BG towards the drydock; zoom in towards the port quarter of LIBERTY.
