MISSILE LAUNCHING ABOARD USS CONSTELLATION (CVA-64) Part 1

Description

1) LA MS Flight deck hand standing on the flight deck looking toward the port side waiting for the missile launches during the missile practice firing from the port battery; cloud of smoke appears from the port side of the ship missile is launched, track with the missile heading for its target. F 2) HA LS Streak of smoke from the missile heading up in to the sky to a target. F 3) MS One of the flight deck personnel standing on deck looking towards the port side waiting for the next launch. F 4) MLS CVA-64 and CAG-14 officers and men watching launch from the flight deck. G 5) CU Personnel walking over the flight deck past camera, island seen in BG; PAN off to R to the men walking aft on the flight deck. G 6) HA CU Looking down over the port launcher after the missile launching, the men are standing on deck around the launcher. G-F 7) CU Looking down over the launcher, part of the missile is off to the L, blast doors are open. SV DA VG 8) HA CU Practice missile coming out of the missile house on to the launcher, this is a Terrier missile, missile launcher swings around to the R in to a firing position; water seen in BG; scene looks do over the top of the missile on port arm of the missile launcher. VG 9) HA CU Missile house bulkhead, blast door open, the Terrier missile comes out of the missile house onto the launcher; PAN off to the L, the launcher swings around to the attack position. 10) CU After part of the missile launcher swinging around, blast doors open, Terrier missile goes back on the rail into the missile house, the blast doors close. G 11) LA CU Blast doors open ready for loading of the Terrier missile onto the launcher. G 12) LA CU Terrier missile coming out of the launcher; PAN off to the L the full length of the Terrier missile, the practice missile; PAN to R as the launcher moves into the attack position. F-P UX 13) LA CU Blast doors opening, missile rail in position, Terrier missile moves back into the missile house, blast doors closed. F 14) MS Looking across the flight deck, blast of white smoke signals the launch of the missile, missile is launched, track up with the missile streaking skyward to its target. G 15) HA CU Overlooking the port missile battery, Terrier missile on the launcher, launcher swings around to the attack position. G 16) CU Forward section of the Terrier missile on the launcher ready for launch; open water in BG. G 17) HA MCU Blast doors opening on the missile house; Terrier missile slides back into the missile house. G 18) HA CU Blast doors opening, practice missile comes out onto the rail, blast doors close, launcher swings around; PAN to L showing the forward section of the practice missile. VG 19) HA CU Looking down over the Terrier missile sliding back into the missile house from the launcher; blast doors close. G 20) HA CU Looking down from the edge of the flight deck, blast doors closing, part of the missile launch arm is seen in the upper part of the scene. G 21) HA CU Terrier missile sliding onto the missile launcher, port side, launcher swings around. UX due to heavy smoke drifting over the ship from the stack; launcher swings back around and slides back into missile house. 22) LA LS Front view of a C-2A coming in over the deck for landing, making a touch and go; swish PAN to R to the C-2A airborne; green shirt standing in R FG. 23) LA MS PAN, C-2A being launched; several green shirts on the catwalk and on the port edge of the flight deek.
