PROJECT 76 Taken aboard USS HORNET (CVS-12) in the Tokin Gulf Part 2

Description

1) A-G MCU Looking over the periscope cutting the surface of the water, submarine is the USS GUDGEON (SS-567), submerged during the ASW operations; PAN around for a CU of the periscope. VG 2) A-G LA MCU Periscope of the USS GUDGEON cutting the surface of the water along with the snorkel; PAN around slowly showing the snorkel and periscope a few feet above the water. VG 3) A-G MLS Perscope cutting the surface of the water; S-2E a/c is approaching it from the BG, flying low over the submerged sub and leaves the scene to the L. F 4) A-G MCU PAN down the starboard side of the GUDGEON underway on the surface; PAN around the bow. G-F 5) A-G CU PAN, SH-3A's sitting on deck of the USS HORNET; PAN across the flight deck on over to the S-2E a/c. F 6) CU Waist gunner in the SH-3A; ship's island is framed in MBG; 'copter lifts off, No. 12 is seen on the island; gunner is manning a M-60 machine gun. G 7) CU Waist gunner and his M-60 machine gun, if flight,with the HORNET framed far below. SV DA F 8) A-G MCU Pan down the starboard side of the GUDGEON underway on the surface during the ASW operation with the HORNET; PAN up and around the bow of the submarine, around to the port side; sub leaves the scene to the L. G-F 9) A-G MCU Looking over the stern of an unidentified DD Class ship, the surface target in tow behind the ship; PAN around the DD. G-F 10) A-G HA MS Looking over the towed surface target. G-F 11) A-G CU PAN down the port side of the USS PARSONS (DDG-33); PAN back over the wake to show the surface target being towed behind the PARSONS; PAN around the target, PARSONS in BG. G-F 12) A-G MS Looking towards the port quarter of the PARSONS; PAN to R, to the towed target; PAN back to stern of the PARSONS. F 13) A-G HA MS Side view of towed target being pulled through the way by the PARSONS. SV G 14) A-G HA MCU Looking over the bow of the USS PARSONS; PAN over the PARSONS, from bow to stern. F 15) A-G CU PAN down the length of the PARSONS. G
