Pearl Harbor Part 1

Description

This film depicts scenes near Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in the spring of 1942, following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The damaged Tennessee-class battleship the USS California (BB-44) is shown with several harbor tugboats as it moved towards drydock, and multiple Martin B-26 Marauder medium bombers, Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter aircraft, North American B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, Douglas B-18 Bolo light bombers, Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers can be seen in flight or during landing. Officers and enlisted men are also shown as they watched the USS California enter drydock, and a large mobile crane is seen in operation.
