Combat Action Onboard the Destroyer Escort the USS Albert David (DE-1050) Part 3

Description

This film shows naval ensigns as they threw retrograde over the side of the USS Albert David and looked towards the support ship the USS Camden (AOE-2) as it approached the USS Albert David. Men on the USS David are shown as they watched a UH-46D helicopter take off from the deck of the USS Camden, and as they unloaded the supplies from the UH-46D helicopter after it landed on the deck of the USS Albert David. The film also documents onboard combat activities as naval servicemen fired on shore targets near Da Nang Harbor, Vietnam. The light cruiser the USS Oklahoma City is shown as it cruised offshore during the bombardment, and the USS Camden and UH-46D helicopters are seen as they replenished the ammunition supply of the USS Albert David.
