Description

1) CU Marines carry one of their own casualties down hillside. 2) MS Demolition squad fills in cave entrances for blasting. 3) CU 155mm battery firing. 4) MS Dentist working on Marine who has mouth injury, dentist examines X-ray. 5)HS Dentist assistant working outside in dugout between two tents. 6) CU Taking swabs out of sterilizer. 7) CU Small outdoor laboratory set up as technicians are using microscopes. 8) CU Marine leaves dental tent & enters portable darkroom to develop X-ray plates. 9) MS Marines on stretchers are brought down to airfield for air evacuation, R4D transport BG-SV. 10) MS-CU Casualties are loaded into transport-SV. 11) CU Casualty talking to four-star Marine general. 12) MS Several ambulatory casualties. 13) MS-LS Plane hatches are closed, pilot is seen in cockpit, plane turns & takes off from airstrip. 14) CU Several marines eat chow. 15) MS-CU Casualties are carried into hospital tent. 16) CU Marine receiving blood plasma, then is loaded into ambulance Jeep.
