An American Partnership Part 4
Description
This film chronicles American history's high points through footage, dramatizations, and drawings. The scenes emphasize the sale of savings bonds as a means of giving every American an opportunity "to take stock in America," and in so doing, provide the U.S. Department of the Treasury with the funds needed to overcome adversity and build a better future for all Americans. Seen in the footage are such American notables as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Charles Lindbergh, Jack Dempsey, Helen Wills, and Babe Ruth. Also shown are scenes from America's history such as immigrants heading for America, the "Gold Rush," World War I and the armistice celebration, the flight of the Spirit of St. Louis, and raising the flag on Iwo Jima.
