Shadows of Silence Part 21

Description

This documentary, written and directed by Martina Dase, chronicles Kenneth Kepperman's attempts to have human artifacts that were found, and displayed, after the liberation of the concentration camp at Buchenwald, exhibited at a Jewish museum, or other historical institution. The relics -- including tattooed skin and decapitated human heads -- were behind closed doors at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland, and the Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington. They had been originally used as evidence or mentioned in testimony during the Nuremberg and Dachau trials, but had not been put on public display because of their incendiary nature.
