Uses diagrams to show how nonlubricating portions of crude oil are removed by stills, chemicals, water, pressure, and filters. Processing of "bottom stock" heavy oil begins. Reel 2, oils are tested for their lubricating efficiency. Shows large and small mechanisms requiring specific lubricants.
