Description

Shows various methods of mining and processing iron ore. Reel 1 shows locations of principle ore deposits and how open pit mining begins. Reel 2 shows open pit, milling pit, and top slicing methods of mining. Reel 3 shows top slicing and sublevel caving methods. Reel 4, ore is milled and loaded on boats which pass through the Soo Canal and are unloaded at smelting ports. Reel 5 shows smelting and casting operations.
