"WILDWOOD," A 100 PERCENT MECHANIZED MINE Part 3

Description

Demonstrates in the Wildwood Mine of the Butler Consolidated Coal Co. (Pa.) the extent of mechanization in the coal mining industry. Reel 1 shows the operation of machinery used to free coal in a mine. Reel 2, coal is loaded on mine trains, dumped, and sorted. Reel 3, coal is washed and loaded on trains. Miners receive safety instruction.
