Magic Bullets Part 6
Description
This film dramatizes the work of Dr. Paul Ehrlich (portrayed by Edward G. Robinson) in developing a cure for syphilis in Germany about 1890. Scenes show that amidst the criticisms of the board of directors of his laboratory and their budget cuts, Dr. Ehrlich and his staff worked for years testing possible cures for syphilis. Success came with the 606th test. The film was produced by Jack Warner, in cooperation with the Public Health Service, and directed by William Dieterle.
