The re-enactment celebrates the 150th anniversary of the event with all the trimmings. 2A. MUSSOLINI TAKES ALBANIA: DURAZZO and TIRANA, ALBANIA - In a surprise coup Italians take over this tiny country. As King Zog fled with his Queen and two-day-old baby, Italian troops march from the sea to the capital, meeting little resistance. 2B. FLEET LEAVES FOR COAST: HAMPTON ROADS, VA - After refueling in record time, the main body of the fleet obeys last week’s surprise order and sails for the Pacific. Remaining here will be the newly formed Atlantic Squadron. 2C. LINDY VISITS PRESIDENT: WASHINGTON, D.C. - Colonel Lindbergh, Air Reserve Officer, is called back to active duty by the Army to make a survey of U.S. air efficiency. Before assuming his duties he has an hour's conference with the President. 2D. S.S. PARIS BURNS AT DOCK: LE HAVRE, FRANCE - The Paris, once the flagship of the French merchant marine, is destroyed in a fire of suspicious origin. The ship is a total loss and authorities are holding several suspects for sabotage. 2E. NAVY JUMPERS GRADUATE: LAKEHURST, NJ - After intensive ground training in the Navy's Parachute School, ten students "graduate" with their first leaps into space. Some land hard, but all safely—and that's a passing mark. 3. PARADE HONORS PAPER: SAVANNAH, GA - An elaborate parade of floats, all featuring paper, is the outstanding event in the first Southern Paper Festival. Thus, an expanding Southern industry, receives all due honor. 4. CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!: NEW YORK, NY - Here's a preview of a preview! Parents' Magazine gives you an idea of what Junior and Sis will be demanding come next Xmas. Remember, there's only eight months until Santa arrives. 5A. BASEBALL ARRIVES AGAIN: NEW YORK, NY - The weather man finally gives in and baseball's opening game is played after two rainy days. The World Champions, the New York Yankees, defeat the Boston Red Sox 2 to 0 and start after another pennant. 5B. EL CHICO CONQUEROR WINS: HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - Golden Knight, who humbled El Chico, then derby favorite, a week ago, captures the 19th renewal of the Chesapeake Stakes. $15,000 added, defeating a field of derby hopefuls by a length.
