Description
The original release sheet reads: 1. TRUMAN ASKS OPA SUPPORT: WASHINGTON, D.C. - On the heels of his decision to veto the amended price-control bill, the President appeals to the nation to back his stand for effective OPA measures and asks the people to hold the line against inflation. 2. FLOWER FIESTA: GENZANO, ITALY - Peace brings a revival of the colorful flower festival in the medieval city, and again the inhabitants compete by composing floral mosaic designs in the town streets. 3. CYCLING UPS AND DOWNS: ENGLAND - Laughs come fast and furious in this oddity of Britain's latest bike novelty—bicycles propelled by "seat" power! And for added thrills, a cross-country bike race! 4. OPERATION CROSSROADS UNDERWAY / Events Leading Up To The Epochal Blast: Last-minute preparations for the atom bomb test at Bikini Atoll! See the planes, the ships and the men who took part in Operation Crossroads! The famed B-29, "Dave's Dream," takes off from Kwajalein as the entire world waits to hear that three ships were sunk and many others damaged as the fourth atom bomb in history was exploded. The results have as yet not been completely evaluated. (LOCAL – CANADA) ROYAL FAMILY IN SCOTLAND.
