Description

The original release sheet reads: 1. TRUMAN URGES U.S.—STOP HARPING ON WAR: NEW YORK - Addressing delegates from 51 nations to the General Assembly of the United Nations at its new headquarters at the World's Fair site, the President sternly warns that rumors of war must be checked lest they impede world recovery. He says that fears of war are "unwarranted and unjustified." 2. STEAKS ON PARADE: KANSAS CITY - The home of the "K.C. steak" is host to the Royal Livestock Show—the greatest mouth-wateringest collection of steak and chops on the hoof seen since meat de-control. A very "rare" sight. 3. GIRL ACROBATS AMAZING: LOS ANGELES - The "Kitchenette Girls"—six young lassies who sure can cook on that front burner when it comes to gymnastic tricks—demonstrate their amazing agility and ability on the trampolin. 4. PRISON RODEO A BUST-OUT: HUNTSVILLE - (Exclusive) When several hundred convicts at the Texas Penitentiary stage their annual buckeroo, it's a natural for thrills, laughs and excitement. Here, the inmates are both "in" and "down"—but not "out." (LOCAL – CANADA) CARIBOO CATTLE CHAMPS. (LOCAL – CANADA) MEDALS FOR VETS.
