Description
The original release sheet reads: 1. MEXICO HAILS TRUMAN: MEXICO CITY - Highlights of Pres. Truman's three-day visit to our Good Neighbor across the Rio Grande. Upon arrival he is met by Pres. Aleman, and receives a tumultuous welcome. A spectacular student festival is held in his honor. 2. TERROR GRIPS PALESTINE: PALESTINE - These dramatic first pictures of the bombing of the British officers club in Jerusalem show the terrible terrorist blast which killed sixteen persons and injured scores. Many suspects are rounded up for deportation as the British clamp down martial law. 3. HOOVER URGES EUROPE RELIEF: WASHINGTON - Deeply concerned over the "grim" conditions in Europe, our former President, just back from an emergency food relief study, declares that the U. S. must feed Europe's starving millions if it wants peace. He paints a bleak picture of conditions abroad. 4. NAVY CAGERS "SINK" ARMY: ANNAPOLIS - In the 24th meeting of the two service teams, the future Admirals scuttle the West Pointers in a see-saw basketball contest marked by several nasty falls. The final score is: Navy 64; Army 42. (TRAILER) RED CROSS. (LOCAL – CANADA) INTERNATIONAL AIR PARLEY.
