U.S. FOOD FOR CHINA: SHANGHAI - American relief flour arrives on the S.S. California and is quickly unloaded by sweating coolies. At Pieping, thousands of pitiful refugees stand in line for a meagre hand-out of rice. 3A/B/C. FLOODS IN ANDALUSIA: SPAIN - Torrential Spring rains have brought floods to Seville and other towns in Andalusia, causing damage and making thousands homeless. Dikes are breached as the swollen rivers swirl through villages. / THE MECHANICAL JACKASS: SEATTLE - An amazing hill-climbing machine, called the "mechanical jackass" by its builder-inventor, clambers up poles and over logs with uncanny agility.
