Mark Clark as grand marshal, and with hundreds of thousands looking on, Los Angeles goes all out for the March of Dimes. Nineteen gala floats, pretty girls, and marching troops make it colorful affair. / GAS BLAST WRECKS PLANT: CHICAGO - Incredible scenes of destruction follow explosion at a gas generating plant. Hundreds were injured when thunderous blast blew out walls of building, rocking wide area and shattering windows nearby.
