Description
The original release sheet reads: 1. KOREA CRISIS / TROOP LANDINGS BACK EMBATTLED U.N. FORCES: KOREA - The arrival of reinforcements from Japan is good news for the weary men fighting terrific odds to stem the onrushing Red invaders. Big task force unloads troops and supplies at a South Korean port. A dramatic salute to American soldiers, sailors and airmen is made by Pres. Syngman Rhee, head of the Korean Republic. 2. KING LEOPOLD BACK FROM EXILE: BELGIUM - With Belgium's Parliament nearly evenly divided on the issue of his return, King Leopold returns by air to take over the uneasy throne of his homeland. In exile since the surrender to the Nazis ten years ago, he is heavily guarded by troops during the drive from the airport. 3A/B/C. SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS — WATER SKIING: GREENWOOD LAKE, NY - Come along for a dizzy spin on the lake, to watch the squatic slatmen go over the jumps--and into the drink. / A.A.U. SWIM MEET: SEATTLE - Highlight is the mile swim, won by Yale's Johnny Marshall in world record-shattering time. Second is Ford Konno of Hawaii, who also breaks the old mark. / AQUATENNIAL CAPERS: MINNEAPOLIS - Following spectacular float parade, the clown divers take over during the Aqua Follies, bringing you a rib-tickling exhibition of zany diving. (LOCAL – CANADA) “BLOWTORCH” GETS WORKOUT.
