Throngs cheer her and dignitaries welcome her at historic Quebec, the first stop on her ten-thousand-mile tour of the Dominion. 2A/B. 20 DIE IN TRAIN WRECK: AUSTRIA - The Vienna-Rome Express crashes into a freight train at high speed, killing 20 and injuring many others—the greatest train disaster in Austrian railroad history. / EQUESTRIAN TRYOUTS: KANSAS CITY - Since the U.S. Cavalry has been dismounted, civilians take over the job of picking a team for the 1952 Olympics. Thirteen of the country's top riders and 25 horses give a demonstration of the nation's best. 3. STILL CHAMPS: NEW YORK - For the third time the New York Yankees gain the championship against a fighting Giant team, by winning the fifth and sixth games. The sixth is really a thriller right down to the last out. 4. U.S.C. UPSETS WASHINGTON U: SEATTLE - A last ditch pass to Cosimo Cutri is good for 57 yards and gives the Trojans a 20-13 victory over the favored Huskies in a tightly played and thrill packed game.
