Inside the fire-cloud, you see the A-bomb's fiery impact crush the dwelling. 2. PLANE CRASH KILLS 35: CALIFORNIA - Thirty Air Force personnel and five civilian crewmen die when their transport crashes, just before landing. The tragic scene is marked by a five-hundred-yard swash of charred debris. / STEVENSON IN KOREA: KOREA - Democratic Party leader Adlai Stevenson's tour of global trouble spots takes him to Korea. He talks with G.I.'s, and flies over the front lines in a two-seat fighter-bomber. / TRUMAN SAILS: CALIFORNIA - Admirers gather to wish Harry S. Truman "Bon Voyage," as the ex-President sails with his wife and daughter for a Hawaiian voyage. / PRISONER OF WAR: CHICAGO - The proprietor of a local book store, is unmasked as Reinhold Pabel, an escaped German prisoner of war. Since 1945, he married, built up a business and is the father of an 8-month-old child. Now, he faces deportation. / MIGHTY MITE: VIRGINIA - The Marines' successor to the Jeep is shown―the Mighty Mite, smaller, stubbier, 1,000 pounds lighter―and far more versatile. Designed for front line use, it can be flown by helicopter to tactical areas. 3. FRENCH SPRING FASHIONS: PARIS - Simplicity is the word in line and design of the French couturiers in their spring offerings. Hats range from the petite to a resurgence of the picture hat, and novel prints are the order for afternoon wear. 4. ROCKETS GIVE SABRE NEW KNOCKOUT PUNCH - First films show the new all-weather Sabre jet, armed with a battery of lethal, radar-aimed "Mighty Mouse" rockets―sudden death for any enemy bomber crossing this interceptor’s path.
