Description

The original release sheet reads: 1. DULLES PRODS FRENCH ON EUROPEAN ARMY DECISION: PARIS - At a meeting of the 13 North Atlantic Treaty Organization nations, Secretary of State John Foster Dulles drops a verbal bombshell when he informs the assembled statesmen that France must ratify plans for a European Army within the next few months or face 'an agonizing re-appraisal' of United States aid policy. 2A/B/C/D. 6 DEAD FEARED IN BLAZE: CHICAGO - Fire rages through a skid row hotel and weakened walls collapse, burying firemen and residents. At least six are feared dead, while a score or more are seriously injured. / CLOTHING TO KOREA BLESSED: NEW YORK - 23,000 thousand bales of clothing to be shipped to Korea are blessed by his Eminence, Cardinal Spellman, who himself will fly to Korea to spend his third Christmas there with United States troops. / ROBOT ELEVATORS: SAN FRANCISCO - Engineers show a fantastic working model of a new automatic elevator system, controlled by an electronic brain. Once the passengers push their buttons, the cars do everything else, even spacing their trips to meet varying traffic needs during the day. / OVERLAND FERRY: HOLLAND - The little town of Avenhorn, Holland, has a new twist on the traffic problem with a ferry for boats. As they go from canal to canal, on a narrow-gauge rail line, all road traffic is blocked. 3. AIRBORNE FINERY: JAPAN - A fashionable flight of fancy high above Fujiyama, with pretty models of Japanese descent posing in styles by leading Japanese fashion designers. What to wear on a global air tour is the theme. 4. GUIDED MISSILE DESTROYS BOMBER - Official films lift the shroud of secrecy is lifted surrounding America's newest anti-aircraft guided missile, the "Nike", named for the Greek Goddess of Victory. Spectacular scenes show the "Nike" missile unerringly tracking a remote-controlled Flying Fortress and shattering the huge bomber in an awesome mid-air blast.
