Description

The original release sheet reads: 1. HUNGARIAN PATRIOTS FORCE RED RETREAT - Scenes on the Austro-Hungarian border measure the scope and success of Hungary's anti-Red revolt. The entire Western part of the country is in rebel hands. From border guards' uniforms and from the flags, the Red Star, hated symbol of Communism, has been ripped--and the Iron Curtain is rolled back, to let through medical aid shipments from the West. 2. ISRAELIS INVADE EGYPT - In an unexpected military move Israeli forces stab deep into Egyptian territory, after months of mounting tension and preparations on both sides of the border. Impressive military displays of mobilization are paraded by both Arabs and Israelis. 3A/B. THE HOUSE OF TOMORROW - In San Francisco, the Eichler X-100 experimental house is unveiled to the public. New design concepts, new ideas and new products, give a look into tomorrow for the American home-owner. / LAST MAU MAU CHIEF CAPTURED - Flushed from his mountain hideout in Kenya, Dethan Kimathi, last of the leaders of the dread Mau Mau terrorist organization, is wounded and taken to a prison hospital. 4A/B/C. THE WORLD OF SPORTS — GA. TECH WALLOPS TULANE - At Atlanta, the powerhouse gridders of Georgia Tech ride roughshod over the Tulane visitors, romping to a 40-0 victory before happy Homecoming Day throng. / OKLAHOMA TOPS NOTRE DAME - At South Bend, the "Sooners" get back into the No. 1 spot by trouncing the "Irish" of Notre Dame in a one-sided affair. Long runs and passes spark the "Sooner" attack to a 40- victory. / RICHEST HORSE RACE - The Garden State Stakes at Camden, N.J., is won by "Barbizon," by a nose, in a thrilling stretch battle. A big field of 19 colts gets away in the $320,000 classic.
