Description
The original release sheet reads: GRADUATION DAY AT SERVICE ACADEMIES Traditional, colorful commencement exercises at the Service Academies. At West Point, sons of 2 Generals get their commissions, part of a group of 550 new lieutenants. At Annapolis 797 graduate at the Naval Academy's commencement exercises, the climax of a busy June Week. FIRST REPORT ON NEW REGIME IN TURKEY From Turkey, the first official appearance of the military junta headed by General Cemal Gursel that overthrew the Mederes regime. Life returns to normal in Ankara and the countryside, but the Army is still in charge, with jeeps patrolling the streets, and military police directing traffic. BALDY CONVENTION In France, outstanding baldies from all over Europe gather to choose the baldest one of all. After their gleaming pates are carefully scanned for signs of cheating, such as shaving, the judging proceeds. Shining examples of how to grin and bare it. PARIS FASHION PARADE A turnabout fashion show as Paris plays hostess to style representatives of a dozen European nations. The showing of haut couture in new synthetics is dazzlingly successful, even in the sophisticated fashion capital of the world. HORSEMANSHIP CONTEST IN GERMANY Equestrian competition in Germany, featuring the world's top riders over an exacting course. A superb performance by America's Billy Steinkraus tops near flawless showings by German and British aces, for top honors of the day at the Blue Ribbon Wiesbaden show.
