The original release sheet reads: 50 MEGATONS - U.S. PROTESTS RED TEST Khrushchev addresses the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party and in his marathon talk he promises the Russians a workers' utopia -- in 20 years!! Of more immediacy to a worried world is his announcement that the Reds are to explode a huge bomb of 50 Megatons. This brought a quick request from the United States, not to do so. Secretary of States Dean Rusk points out that such an explosion is not necessary from a technical point of view. ANIMAL CORNER They have roundups on the steppes of Central Asia, too - but they differ from the ones in the American West. The Russians are completing their annual reindeer roundup - they use the horns for medicine. With the servant problem what it is today, Kokomo, Jr., a well behaved Chimp, whips up a batch of scones himself as he prepares for his guests. Fashions In The News They have decreed that Hats are a MUST for evening wear and here are what the chic-diner-outs will be wearing. In New York models display some creations that should turn pretty heads. SPORTS FOOTBALL COLUMBIA DOWNS YALE 11-0 Twenty thousand in Yale Bowl see the Elis go down to defeat for the first time after winning 11 straight games. Columbia pulls the string as the Lions roar to a 11-0 victory. They pass for a touchdown and kick a field goal - the first point scored on Yale this season.
