Description

The original release sheet reads: BOOM ... BOOM! TIMES ARE GOOD In a speech to 5,000 members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington President Lyndon Johnson predicts a 30 billion dollar profit for American business this year. His speech (spiced with quips) touched on Foreign Aid, the Railraod thing and the Chamber itself, was interrupted by applause and laughter 60 times. SPORTS BASKETBALL BOSTON CELTICS WIN 6TH STRAIGHT TITLE Taking on the San Francisco Warriors for the National Basketball Association Title, the Celtics roll on to a 105 to 99 victory. They win also the distinction of becoming the first team in a major sport to take a title six times in a row. Yes. The Yankees have won five World Series straight ..but half-dozen times .. yet to come! So salute to the Boston Celtics. A fine first. ICE HOCKEY PLAY-OFFS It's getting to be a habit with the Toronto Maple Leafs to skate off with the Stanley Cup. They down the Detroit Red Wings - 4 to 0 in the 7th game of the Play-off series, making them the World's Champions for the third consecutive year. They're the hottest thing on ice surrounded by the sweet swill of success. STAR OF STARS AL OERTER ECLIPSES OWN RECORD: At the Mt.
