Description
The original release sheet reads: VIETNAM ACTION The mighty aircraft carrier "ENTERPRISE" becomes the first nuclear-powered ship ever to enter combat. Off the coast of Vietnam, the "BIG E" launches her Phantom jets against Vietcong hideouts. Four planes can be catapulted from her decks at one time. Meanwhile, on the ground, ,small search and kill missions have been increased. Mobile units penetrate to Vietcong pockets to flush out the enemy. THis one is ambushed by the rebels and while casualties are listed as "moderate," the men who return look upon this as the most important day in their lives - they came through alive. ACT OF FAITH A 4,000-mile pilgrimage nears its end. accompanied only by a faithful donkey, Madame Genevieve Troszczynski walks from Le Havre to the Holy Land to give thanks for her child's recovery from an illness. She vowed to make the trip if the child regained its health and it was a remarkable saga of one woman's Act of Faith. "POP" FASHION POP Angela of London unveils her fashions for SPring - by having the models step it out on the dance floor. Optical art has spread to many of her designs and if you think you're seeing things, you're right! In Paris, the winter resort sunglasses are also way, way out. As Grandma would say - these girls are making a spectacle of themselves. SPORTS FOOTBALL SAN DIEGO......38 NEW YORK........7 The Jets just can't win in San Diego. For the sixth straight time the Chargers take their measure and the New Yorkers are thankful to limp out of town after avoiding a shut-out by one touchdown. The final score: a horrendous 38 to 7.
