Description
The original release sheet reads: MIDDLE-EAST WAR Israel's smashing victory in a six-day war with the UAR, Jordan, and Syria reverberates at the U.N. Angry debate keeps the Security Council in almost constant session, while Russia, Syria, and other Arab and Iron Curtain delegates lash Israel and the United States, insisting on a return to original boundaries in the Middle-East. Israeli Premiere Eskhol flatly states Israel alone will determine her future. PELLEGRENO FLIGHT 30-year old Michigan schoolteacher, Mrs. Ann Pellegreno, takes off from Oakland to duplicate Amelia Earhart's flight of 1937. She'll take along a co-pilot, navigator, and mechanic on the 28 thousand-mile, five-week flight to try to solve Miss Earhart's disappearance. PATTERSON FIGHT 32-year old Floyd Patterson, formerly heavyweight champ, gains a draw on his long comeback trail. Jerry Quarry, L.A. boy, gives Floyd a rough time, with two knockdowns in the second round. Quarry goes down once in the seventh and the fight ends as a slugging match.
