Description

The original release sheet reads: HONG KONG Border incidents continue to a step up tension as Red Guards raid installations in Hong Kong. All vehicles are searched for weapons and propaganda and British Troops maintain a constant alert. BERLIN WALL The wall dividing East and West Berlin marks its sixth anniversary as tourists constantly flock to see it. Escape attempts have dwindled and armed East German guards maintain their patrol. SEA PLOW A new underwater "sea plow" helps to bury transatlantic telephone cables on the ocean floor. It digs a trench into which the cable is laid, protecting it from dredges and fishermen. GRACE KELLY The Rainier of Monaco tour Universal City Studios, as guests of MCA Board Chairman Jules Stein. They visit a shooting set and the young Rainiers are delighted by the stuntman's show. SPOTLESS GIRAFFE In the Tokyo Zoo, a confusing blessed event. A female giraffe without spots! A chemical imbalance caused the phenomenon but the little long-necked animal is the big attraction these days. FUR FASHIONS New fur fashions debut in Paris. Highlights include thigh-high fur boots, fitted ermine jackets, and mink capes that do double-duty as skirts. Looks like a warm...and expensive...winter. TRACK Montreal: America vs. Europe at Expo '67...and the Europeans win by nine points...but all our best men weren't there. London: World champion miler Jim Ryun beats Kenya's Keino by five yards in a disappointingly slow race in the U-S. British meet.
