Roosevelt as the 32nd President of the United States / WASHINGTON, D.C. - STRIKING close-up views of President-elect Roosevelt’s arrival at the White House to take President Hoover to the Capitol for the Inaugural ceremony, and the historic ride of the celebrated pair down Pennsylvania Avenue, with a Congressional escort, as cheering thousands, massed on the sidewalks, hail the event. REMARKABLE scene, in front of the Capitol, as 100,000 eager Americans hear Mr. Roosevelt recite the Oath of Office which makes him Chief Executive of the nation. STIRRING Inaugural Address by the new President with its determined challenge to the forces of depression and the wild enthusiasm kindled by his vigorous utterances. MAGNIFICENT vista of Pennsylvania Avenue during the Inaugural Parade, with the country’s picked Army, Navy, Marine and National Guard units, marching proudly to the music of scores of bands, as the new Commander-in-Chief reviews the nation’s greatest pageant.
