HENRY PU YI ASCENDS THRONE OF MANCHUKUO: HSINKING, MANCHUKUO - Amid great Oriental splendor the new Emperor of the Great Manchu Empire climbs to the “Altar of Heaven” in a lavish ceremony while thousands of Japanese troops guard the streets to prevent any untoward event that would mar the brilliant pageant in which the young nobleman becomes “God’s Regent on Earth.” 3. GRID STARS IN SPRING PRACTICE: SOUTH BEND, IN - Elmer Layden, new Notre Dame Coach, puts his squad through its paces in the first workout of the year. 4. GIRLS LEARN THE HULA HULA: MIAMI BEACH, FL - With two Hawaiian princesses teaching them the motions, bathing beauties practice the twists and turns of the famous dance. 8.
