Description

This film includes the following: Part 1, 4 to 10-year-olds are taught to swim. Part 2, natives of Java are examined by the NetherLands Red Cross. Part 3, a 73-year-old woman teaches first aid to residents in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Part 4, canteens are established as citizens battle a forest fire in New England. Part 5, stranded persons are evacuated by DUKW's as a hurricane and flood waters strike Mississippi and Louisiana. Refugees are cared for in a temporary camp.
