The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: Plant interior, shock tests on wheel with tire on it, rising and falling in testing device, hitting floor on downward stroke - wheel suspended behind frame, worker’s hands operating rope which raises and lowers wheel, lever which raises and lowers wheel and frame - wheel sometimes bounces - wheel being bounced hard on metal cleat.
