The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: a. “Aqua Prieta, Mexico. General Villa, with 13,000 troops, closes in for the final assault on the Carranza garrison. Pathé News.” Soldiers marching across field, August, 1915. “Carranza calls up reinforcements.” Men at side of railroad track, train. “The attack.” Soldiers in trench, smoke from guns. “The Mexican populace pours from the town to the U.S. trenches and safety.” Men, women, and children carrying bundles and sacks, horses and buggies - Mexicans passing soldiers, wagons - Mexicans entering trenches, U.S. soldiers. “The refugees camp and await the outcome of the battle.” Men, women, children, and dogs in clusters on ground and moving about, soldiers among them. “Random Mexican fusillades cause the United States troops to draw back.” Soldiers packing up gear, moving. “Private L.F. Taylor falls a victim to a Mexican bullet.” Soldiers lifting another onto litter and onto truck. “General Funston rushes reinforcements to prevent the sacrifice of more American lives.” Long line of mounted soldiers, wagons, and caissons moving along dirt road.
