MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, A Part 3

Description

The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: “Welcome, dear Santa Claus, welcome! Greetings from this merry land! Happy children bid thee welcome! Christmas gladdens all the land!” Three women with group of children walking through snow-covered forest. ‘‘The trees are hung with crystal lamps, The world lies still and white; Santa Claus’ home, ’neath snowy boughs, Is a most pleasant sight.” Children running up to snow-covered cabin in woods - Santa opening door, greeting children - snow-covered tree, cabin, Santa and children walking through snow. “Ho! Ho! Fine wood for a fire’s cheery glow, So I can warm myself well e’er I go, From this my home in the land of toys, To earth where I leave gifts for good girls and boys.” Santa taking log from wood pile - view of cabin, sign on chimney, ‘Santa’s Workshop’ - Santa standing on stoop. “The moon tonight will be clear and bright, And crisp and cold the air; Just the Christmas Eve weather I like, For I must go everywhere.” Santa looking at sky, entering cabin, putting log on fire, warming self. “Have I forgotten anything? Has any child been missed? He puzzles over every name, Upon his ‘Good Child’ list.” Santa warming himself beside fire, “A toy I’ll take each girl and boy, To fill their hearts with mirth and joy.” Santa making toys. “The children are nestled ail snug in their beds, While visions of sugar plums dance through their heads.” Child in bed sleeping - Santa looking out of cabin window, sweeping snow off of stoop. “I see holly branch and mistletoe, Hear Christmas chimes across the snow; Inside, the stockings are pinned in a row, All is in readiness wherever I go.” Snowy woods - Santa tossing bag over corral fence, climbing over, approaching barn. “Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donder and Blitzen, All rested, and fed with sweet smelling hay, Are ready and eager to be on the way.” Santa pulling hay from stacks placing it in manger. “I’ve made dolls and gay trumpets, Bright skates, games and rings; My pack fairly bulges, With a host of good things.” Santa packing toys onto sleigh.
