The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: a. Plant interior - workers at power saw, sign, ‘Danger, Keep Closed’ - pieces of wood on endless belt, worker inspects and stacks them - worker places wood into machine, each piece comes out as four laths - lath - worker removes lath from belt - feeding lath into sanding machine - removing cut pieces of wood from belt - girls inspecting cut pieces - binding cut lengths of lath together by machine - machine planing ends and edges - bound lath fed into machine - worker watches lath come out of machine, sign, ‘Danger’ - takes lath now with narrowed sections and tongue and groove off table by machine, stacks them in carton - a worker folds a lath to form frame for honeycomb - worker assembles sides of hives, machine nails them - stacks of hives - crated hives move along endless belt.
