Workers at drafting boards in large room - pattern makers at work designing different parts of car - advertising posters for 1949 Fords - old model Ford leaving plant, new model following - (repeat several times) - old and new cars side-by-side - test driving new cars over railroad ties, through water in trough, over rough field, rough road, cobblestone road, blowout on smooth road. “The End.” Driving cars on test track, in loose dirt field - tire blowout on smooth road - cars over railroad ties, through water, over rough road - old and new cars side-by-side - test driving - drafting room - pattern makers at work - test driving. [1948] 2. Engineering laboratory - draftsmen at work - pattern makers at work - new Fords being driven on test track - blowout, control test - man wiring tire for blowout - control test - Model T and new Ford side-by-side - advertising poster, ‘It’ll Knock Your Hat Off -- The ‘49 Ford’ - Model T followed by new Ford being driven out of plant. Final assembly line, body drop - Henry Ford II and another man inspecting finished car, getting in, driving it off assembly line.
