The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: “This film is respectfully dedicated to the officers and men of the United States Army in the name of American Industry -- the strong ‘second line’ of National Defense.” Reconnaissance cars [jeep] being driven out of building - Army Brigadier General Charles H. Bonesteel, Jr. and Edsel Ford speaking into microphone in factory, jeep and spectators behind them - worker inspecting jeep with Ford and General Bonesteel - Ford and officer getting into jeep - Ford speaking into microphones from driver’s seat, driving jeep - several views of jeeps being demonstrated over rough terrain - Ford and Army officer - Ford and officer taking ride in jeep over rough field - jeep being driven through deep water with hood open and with it closed - jeeps being driven from plant, through yard. “The End.” [1941]
