The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: “June, 1941.” Boy, stiffly standing in suit, giving speech by reading note cards in hand. “October, 1941.” Same boy, standing with hands behind back, giving speech from memory. “February, 1942.” Same boy, standing relaxed in suit, using stool as prop, one hand in pocket and using other hand to make points, moving head, giving speech by memory. Several more young men give speeches and show similar progress over the same time period. [1942]
