Documentary: On Palestine from ancient to modern times. Through narration and some re-enactment, compares biblical events to the lives of modern Nomads, other Arabs and a land that had changed little since ancient history. R.1: Shows map and land of Palestine; camel caravans in the desert; contrasts Bedouin sheik's life with that of poor Nomads. Arabs re-enact meeting of Jacob and Rachel; aerial views of the pyramids, Nile River and surroundings. R.2: Men use ancient irrigation and brick-making methods; animated map traces the Israelites' route from Goshen to Kadesh; Bedouins make camp; pack camels and continue travels. R.3: Map shows Israelites' travel from Kadesh to the Promised Land; Nomadic tribe travels from Shittim to the Jordan River, men drive reluctant camels and livestock across river toward Jericho; tribal settlement at Mt. Tabor. R.4: Map shows kingdoms of Saul and David where the Philistines fought in Judea; shows modern life in the area; cuneiform in stone ruins; map of Egypt, the desert, Syria and Judea. Arabs re-enact John's baptism of Jesus, Christ's journey to Capernaum, Galilee, and the parable of the fishermen; modern scenes of areas of Christ's travels. R.8: Bust of Emperor Titus; his triumphal arch, Jerusalem; Colosseum and other ruins in Rome, Italy; map traces Paul's journey from Antioch to Corinth; modern Church of the Holy Sepulchre, processions of Roman, Greek and Abyssinian church members, Moslems pray and join procession at a mosque, pilgrims, and ruins of Crusader castle inJerusalem. R.9: Current life in Jerusalem includes British military patrol, and a Zionist colony; life in Tel Aviv, Israel; Moslems and Jews try to adjust to living together peacefully; construction.
