Description
The original release sheet reads: 1. 16 DIE IN HURRICANE FLOSSIE - Hurricane Flossie, first of the year to strike the mainland, smashes over the seawalls and levees of Louisiana. 16 die in the swathe of destruction as the storm ravages northward across six states, before sweeping out to sea on the mid-Atlantic coast. 2. 'BABE' DIDRIKSON DIES - "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias dies of cancer at the age of 42, and sports lovers everywhere mourn the passing of the beloved "world's greatest woman athlete." Highlights of her truly fabulous career, from the 1932 Olympics, where she burst into fame, to the present are reviewed. 3A/B. STAR OF THE YEAR - In New York, William Holden receives the Theatre Owners of America's "Star of the Year" award, from Myron N. Black, president of the organization. / KING-SIZE KITTENS - British Columbia breeds predatory pets. Tamer Paul Hertel calls "kitty" and two cougars come running, to nuzzle affectionately and lick his pate lovingly! 4. HAT FASHIONS - In New York, creations of the country's foremost milliners for the November-to-January season are previewed. Ranging from chic miniature pillboxes to resplendent toques and turbans, the mood is appropriately festive. 5. OLD WEST COMES TO BIG CITY - The rodeo comes to New York City–cowboys, brahmas, broncs, out where the East begins. But geography counts for nothing–it's a slam-bang show, packed with thrills, and laughs contributed by a posse of clowns. (TRAILER) REGISTER AND VOTE!
