The original release sheet reads: THE RED THREAT KENNEDY ORDERS CUBAN BLOCKADE President Kennedy imposes a naval and air "quarantine" on the shipment of offensive military equipment to Cuba. In a speech of extraordinary gravity, he tells the American people that the Soviet Union, contrary to promises, is building offensive missile and bomber bases in Cuba that could fire nuclear warheads up to 2,000 miles. He calls the Russians responsible and says the U.S. would retaliate directly against the Soviets if a missile is ever fired from Cuba. NORWEGIAN KING IN SCOTLAND King Olav Fifth of Norway, is greeted by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip as he arrives in Edinburgh, the first head of state ever to visit Scotland.
