American Marine and Axay helicopters redently airlifted Vietnemese Army troops into the Plain of Reeds, west of Saigon, on & typical combat operation. The Viletnamese are keeping up their relentness attack and mopping up operations against the Viet Cong guerrillas. The helicopters transporting the troops fly at tree top level to minimize detection and maintain an element of surprise. This method of vertical envelopment has proven very effective. Sequences show: (a) Marine pilots being briefed. (b) Marine copters departing their base for rendezvous with Army copters and pick up of Vietnamese troops. (c) Vietnamese trops loading. (a) Inflight of copters. (e) Vistnamese wiloading in combat zone. (P) Air attack by Vietnamese Air Force. (g) Searching & village. (t2) Rounding up prisoners. (i) Captured equipment.
