Description
Reel 1, 18th Engineers construct a dock: buildings are torn down and debris cleared; pilings are unloaded and driven with a pile driver; wharves are repaired; and cement mixed and poured. Reel 2 shows general views of the Bassen dock facilities at Bordeaux. 18th Engineers hoist a portal truss and erect derricks around the legs of a radio tower under construction at Croix d'Hais. The 18th Engineers and stevedores eat lunch on the Bassen docks.
