Description

Summary: The mission of the Combat Tracker Team (CTT) is to track the enemy in order to re-establish contact. The team is composed of a visual tracker, tracker dog (Labrador Retriever), two cover men, dog handlers and a scout dog. Soldiers of the CTT leaving their billets with their dogs and, getting into truck. Truck drives off. VS, team with their dogs waiting on helipad for arrival of their copter. UH-lH lands. Team boards the copter and it takes off. VS silhouettes of OH-6As and UH-1Hs landing and taking off at sunrise. Silhouettes of handler with tracker dog at sunset. More silhouettes of copters taking off. Tracker team on helipad. Dogs with handlers walk across field. UH-lH land CH-47 copter lands. Soldiers walk to the copter. Silhouette of OP tower at sunrise. Soldier throws signal grenade. UH-lH lands in field. Tracker team in grassy field. They check map and move out. Smoke from signal grenade. UH-lH lands. Tracker team rushes aboard the copter and it takes off. Soldier speaks over radio. Officer lights cigarette; lights cigarette for radio operator. UH-lH lands; troops rush off. Tracker team moves long trail. Tracker dog picks up scent; team and dogs move thru brush. Scout dig alerts tracker team. The soldiers and dogs take cover in brush. Soldiers are deployed. Handler, gives tracker dog drink from canteen. Soldiers checking out the area. They pass tracker team in brush. Scout dog and tracker dog leading handlers. Dead Vietcong in brush. Soldier of tracker team searches him. Soldiers of team continue on tracking mission.
